I can’t believe it’s already the end of August. I think I’ll be saying that every month for the rest of the year. We did end up going to the beach. We just came back from a trip to Ventnor City Beach last week. We stayed at this really cute bed & breakfast called The Carisbrooke Inn. It’s worth a visit. If you’re not a morning person, I recommend you do not stay in rooms 1 or 2.
I’ve made some changes to the blog. That’s a new header. What do you think? I also cleaned up and simplified the main menu. I hope it’s easier to use. Now that’s complete, I’ll resume posting regularly. I will post on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, every week.

♦ My latest on Craft Box Girls:
◊ Dorm Room Essentials – I put together a list of 10 dorm room essentials every college student should have.
◊ DIY Peach Sugar Scrub – I confess I may have licked my fingers after making this scrub. It’s 100% natural, made from a ripe peach, sugar and oil. It’s even gentle enough to use on your face! It’s safe to eat, but try to resist eating all that sugar.
◊ Doctor Who is back. Who isn’t excited? I was mostly apprehensive, but excited. The most recent season of the series was disappointing. I felt betrayed when the Doctor quickly began a flirtation with Clara Oswald so soon after losing River Song. This made me surprisingly open-minded to the new Doctor. I still need a bit more time to develop an opinion of Peter Capaldi as the Doctor, but based on this first episode I may come to like him. I hope. Clara is much changed. There was too much emphasis in her first season as a companion equal to the Doctor to have her become so unsure this season. I suppose it makes sense if he becomes someone different with each regeneration.
◊ Warehouse 13 on Netflix. The show is about two Secret Service agents recruited to hunt down artifacts with supernatural powers. It appeals to the sic-fi geek within me. I’ve moved on to the fourth season. It’s funny and dramatic. It’s also smart and interesting.
